Amos and Kim::Married

Even though it was very humid, the rain stayed away long enough so that Amos and Kim could have a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception this morning! This was the first morning wedding, and most casual wedding that I have been too! However, yellow and brown made beautiful summer colors, and the sunflowers added a simply beauty!

I love how the Maid of Honor, Kim's sister, is looking so sweetly over her shoulder at the happy couple!

They were so happy!

Haha! Amos' expression here is so funny, and Kim is just looking so sweetly at him!

This ended up being my all time favorite candid picture from the day!

Congratulations, Amos and Kim!! I'm very happy for both of you, and I pray God's blessings on your new life together!

Madeleine::Window Light Portraits

I really appreciate my sister, Madeleine, being willing to model for me again so I could get my photo projects for school done. I had originally completed this particular assignment, but when I looked back on it, I wasn't completely satisfied with it. I wanted to use my real reflector (instead of a white poster board), and make sure that I didn't come in too close to my subject so as to cut part of their head off.

Madeleine was such a good model, willing to get dressed on a moment's notice!

I love how the lighting turned out in this one!

What fun would a photo session be if it didn't end in laughter and giggles!? :)

What's a Boy to Do?

I took this picture a while ago, but never got around to posting it until now.
Hamilton was such a good sport in allowing me to photograph him while he played with his Legos. Me and my camera didn't even seem to distract him from what he was creating!

A Girl and Her Guitar

My sister, Christina, was such a good model for me the other day, as I worked on my photo projects for school! She put up with mosquitoes eating her feet up while I snapped pictures for about 5-10 min!

She's such a natural in front of the camera! I enjoyed doing this mini session with her! Too bad she doesn't have a new album coming out soon...these might have come in handy! :) Haha! :)
Enjoy these pictures from our photo shoot!

He's Always Been Faithful

On Sunday evening, after church, God placed an amazing rainbow in the sky! What a beautiful reminder to His children that He ALWAYS keeps His promises!!

Flowing with the Rhythm of Grace

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me."

"Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace."
(Matt. 11:28-29)

"The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world."
(Psalm 19:1-4)

"God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end..."
(Psalm 19:5-6a)

"The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all His creation."
(Psalm 145:9)

"Father, may all YOUR dreams come true. I don't want to get in the way or hinder You from fulfilling any of the plans You had for me when you dreamed me into being."
(Robin Jones Gunn, Sisterchicks in Sombreros)

"I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."
(John 14:27)

"He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."
(Isaiah 40:29-31)

"I came to love You late, O Beauty, so ancient and new; I came to love you late. You were within me and I was outside where I rushed about wildly searching for you like some monster loose in your beautiful world. You were with me, but I was not with you. You called me, you shouted to me. You broke past my deafness. You bathed me in your light. You wrapped me in your splendor, you sent my blindness reeling. You gave out such a delightful fragrance, and I drew it in and came breathing hard after you. I tasted, and it made me hunger and thirst. You touched me, and I burned to know your peace."
(Saint Augustine)

Note: All pictures were taken by me on my recent vacation to the beach and Disney World.

Back in September 2010, I started nannying sweet baby Alex when he was about 4 months old. He was such a happy, laid back baby!! I really enjoyed being his nanny! Now, he just celebrated his 1st birthday last week!

His mom, Jana, asked me to come and take pictures at his party...which I was very glad to do!!

A party invitation.
