NLS Winter Trip: Waiting Around and Fun on the Bus

On Thursday, December 11th, the New Life Singers packed up their bags, loaded up the bus, and headed down to Altha and Pensecola, FL, for a short "missions trip." They were scheduled to sing at two churches(one on Thursday night and one on Friday night) and then return home on Saturday.

It just couldn't be a New Life Singer trip without something going wrong with the bus! The chorale was scheduled to leave at 11:30 that morning, but due to the bus being in the shop, they didn't leave until 2:30 that afternoon! What did they did during the waiting time? Hang out at the church, act bored, run to Wal-Mart and Starbucks, and of course take pictures!

Well, they finally left around 2:30 Thursday afternoon, only to sit on the side of the interstate for another hour about 10 minutes after they left the church, because the bus just quit working! It was finally fixed by Bro. Powell and a few of the guys in the group with a wire hanger and some duct tape! :)

The non-stop trip down to Altha was about 5 1/2 hours long. How do the New Life Singers keep themselves occupied on the bus!? By singing, playing games, knitting, talking, telling funny stories, and by just being plan silly! :)
